林文虎

林文虎（？—1950），泰國華僑青年。抗戰爆發後，他毅然回國參加東江人民抗日武裝，作戰勇敢、屢立戰功，逐步成長為東江縱隊中隊長。解放戰爭時期繼續在部隊轉戰。1950年解放萬山群島戰役打響時，他被任命為海軍火力船隊副隊長。在戰鬥中，他身先士卒、英勇衝鋒，光榮犧牲。戰後被中央軍委海軍司令部追認為全國第一位「海軍戰鬥英雄」，是人民海軍早期著名的戰鬥英雄。

Lin Wenhu (died 1950) was a young ethnic-Chinese volunteer from Thailand. When the war against Japan broke out he returned to China to join the Dongjiang people's anti-Japanese armed force, fought bravely, won repeated citations, and rose to become a company commander in the Dongjiang Column. He continued to fight through the Liberation War. When the Wanshan Islands campaign opened in 1950, he was made deputy commander of the Navy's fire-support boat flotilla. In action he led from the front and was killed. Naval Command posthumously named him the People's Navy's first-ever 'Naval Combat Hero.'
